Melika Ngombe Kolongo is Nkisi - DJ, producer and co-founder of NON Records, a collective of experimental African artists and of the diaspora. Born in Congo, she adopted the moniker after moving from Belgium to London. The artist’s interest in aggressive - yet emotional - dance music led her to start expanding on her own sound, as heard on her latest, 2020’s INT001, which kicks off her new label INITIATION. Be it across her discography or in her fierce DJ sets, Nkisi produces powerful club tracks which create an intense and singular experience.
