The Mega Record & CD Fair

Utrecht doesn't only host Le Guess Who?; just a week after the festival, the biggest record fair in the world also takes place in the city (November 17 & 18). The Mega Record and CD Fair is internationally renowned for its incredibly comprehensive collection of vinyl and pop memorabilia and celebrates its 50th edition in 2018. During the event, the Jaarbeurs Utrecht houses 500+ record dealing stands across 12,500 square meters of floor space. Over the years, the fair has become an unmissable cult event for music fans, packed with exhibitions, collections, signings and live shows.

This year, The Mega Record and CD Fair presents special projects like a Joy Division expo with special guest bass player Peter Hook. At another exhibition a large part of the personal archive of Peter Hook can be seen. Omega Auctions shows the best pieces from Hook's private collection throughout the weekend. Also, there is a demonstration vinyl pressing, pop culture historian Peter Sjinke launches his latest book on Frank Zappa and 50 vinyl records with extraordinary covers by famous artists such as Andy Warhol and Karel Appel are exhibited.
